Network (LAN, Local Area Network) is natural when there is more than one computer around. It can be a way of sharing internet connection costs at home, or being a backbone of collaborative work in the office.

Moreover, once you have been connected to the internet, you will be able to benefit from a wide range of new features, i.e. you will be able to access your private network from any place in the world, even if you have not got a server in your LAN!
